Mosaics
This mosaic was commissioned by Creighton Homes, a luxury Northern Virgina home builder, as a foyer accent. It was made to replicate an imported piece from India (see last picture). Measurement is approximately 32" x 32"
The individual pieces of the mosaic were carefully hand cut and placed. The irregular shapes and lengths of the borders stones were all by design to replicate the original. Each stone was carefully chipped to give it an antique appearance.
Approximate construction time was three weeks
The original mosaic is pictured below. The replica above will be installed the same way for another Creighton Home client.
Speciality Design
Before: Plain, painted concrete foyer floor. The new tile floor design was made to match the black & gold railing in the foreground of this picture and other features of the home.
Piecing together absolute black granite and honey onyx stone.
After: The finished foyer below, now includes a polished, Turkish limestone center section.

The percision round cut below is one example of our attention to detail.
The edge of this tile was bullnosed (rounded over) by hand and polished for a smooth transition to the stairs. This process was done on site.
